JANESVILLE, WI (January 7, 2020) The Rock County Cancer Coalition announced that Jennifer Wright will be the first Executive Director of the nonprofit devoted to assisting and educating cancer patients who reside in Rock County. Wright will oversee the day-to-day operations as well as lead the organization into the next phase of strategic growth and expand patient support efforts.

Ms. Wright is joining Rock County Cancer Coalition with a wealth of knowledge and extensive background working with nonprofits, most recently as the Executive Director of the Green County Humane Society in Monroe, Wisconsin. Wright has an MBA from the University of Utah where she completed a fellowship with Morgan Stanley helping low income individuals acquire housing.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to be the first Executive Director of the Rock County Cancer Coalition,” says Wright. “Every year almost 1,000 people in the county are diagnosed with cancer. When you are first diagnosed, you are not only facing a fight for your life, but also faced with mounting bills, doctor appointments, and extended leaves from work. Our coalition is here to help patients mitigate some of their stress by helping with everyday expenses. I look forward to bringing the coalition to the next level, increasing the amount of help we can give members of our community.”

The Board of Directors is excited to have Wright join the coalition, especially with one of their largest events, the Great Upland Cancer Shootout, on February 22nd.  This is one of the largest fundraising events hosted by Rock County Cancer Coalition, and the board invites the community to this family-friendly event to meet Wright and support the coalition’s mission.
